Buff stoneware jug (height 6.0 inch) relief moulded with the well-known Tam O'Shanter pattern. Impressed to base 'Published by W Ridgway and Co, Hanley, October 1, 1835'. The story of Tam O'Shanter is described in the poem by Robert Burns (1759-1796)
